Top 3 Christmassy books -Blogmas 17

I think around now is a nice time to start reading a cosy book that you can dip in and out of when you have a bit of down time and finish around Christmas eve. These are my top picks for a festive read.

Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone

I assume you knew this was coming but I actually find this book even more Christmassy than the film. I fell in love with Harry Potter again on a Christmas morning where I had woken up FAR too early, even by our standards and couldn't get back to sleep. By 6:30am I had demolished half of The philosophers stone and finished it by boxing day. I stole and reread  my Mums tattered copies until a few years later when I received a beautiful box set of new edition covers.

Dash and Lilys book of Dares

A nice little YA read that's Light hearted and going to give you that warm fuzzy feeling whilst still holding interest.

Matilda

I think Christmas makes a lot of people just want to feel like children again, Matilda or another Roald Dahl book is long enough to be an on going read but still feels really nostalgic.
