The one I'm going to get judged for. Spoiler: they're almost ALL new*. I think I like a certain vibe from a Christmas film, it needs to be super cosy and a bit of comedy is a bonus. So, in no particular order, these are my favourite Christmas films.
Nativity!
A 2009 film that somehow makes me feel VERY nostalgic, my sister was only 2 when this came out so maybe that's why I love it so much. It's set in a primary school and the kids honestly make the film. The actual nativity at the end makes me tear up every. Single. Time.
Arthur Christmas
Another new ish film that stole my heart. This gives us a little insight into the 'behind the scenes' of Santa's family and what happens when a child gets forgotten. This film is so calming that I know I'm going to watch it 100 times over before the 25th.
Home Alone
I hadn't seen home alone until a few years ago so I never fully understood what everyone was on about. Then I got it, everyone secretly likes to believe that they'd do what Kevin did, instead we'd probably all cry and hide.
Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone
Ok, not *technically* a Christmas film, but it does have a Christmassy scene and frankly it just has that vibe, so it's on the list.
ELF
Because we all know, it's not really Christmas until you've watched ELF.
* I looked up the release dates, none of them are as recent as I thought.
