This entire post was Joshs' idea (guess who hasn't finished his Christmas shopping yet).
It's 10 days until the big one so if you're freaking the fuck out because you've got things still to buy but you're also running out of money, here's a handy little guide of presents that would suit anyone and act as a get out of jail free card when payday can't come soon enough.
1)" I'm taking you out for dinner/drinks/cake"
This one works really well because it just postpones the payment until later on and means that you get to spend time together when all the festivities have calmed down.
2) Browse the Groupon events page
Good for partners/parents/ anyone you would normally spend quite a bit of money on. You can get some really good savings and usually the experience is for more than one so you can double up and make it a gift for multiple people.
3) PLANTS
Garden centres have lots of little festive arrangements at the moment which are around £5-£10 depending. Catci and snake plants also make cheap and long lasting presents.
4) A tree ornament
Something that can be bought out for years to come. Near the end of the season these go on sale by quite a lot so if you pick a statement ornament (bonus if you know what that person's colour scheme is) it can look really expensive and sentimental even if it's not.
5) Stationary
This might be specific to my friends, but we love a good notebook. I think nice stationary is often something someone wouldn't buy for themselves. Somewhere like Tk Maxx is a good place to get expensive stationary for like half the price but I think anything pretty or quirky will usually do the job.
