For those of you that don't know (I don't know how because I didn't shut up about it) me and my Josh went to Disneyworld in October. In the lead up to the holiday I was fully prepared to live off chips and sweet snacks for two weeks, but actually almost everywhere we went had a decent and often semi nutricous veggie option, here's a few of my favourites.
I didn't know I was going to write about it at the time so I don't have photos
Garlic Knots- Pizzafari - Animal kingdom
Think garlic dough balls on steroids, served with maranara sauce, oh yeah.
Vegetable chilli - Columbia harbour house - Magic Kingdom
I think everyone can agree with me when I say that it can be hard to find vegetables in America in general, this chilli was packed with all the veg and beans you would expect; it had just enough spice to be interesting without being too hot. On the menu it's a snack credit but if you ask for it as a meal you get a side and a drink too!
Plant based burger -Any burger place
OH. MY. GOD. Maybe the best burger I've had anywhere, the fillings vary depending on where you go but that really helps with feeling like you've had variety even though you've had 5 burgers on your 14 day trip. My personal favourite was at the art of animation resort. (The food at art of animation was so much better than pop century where we stayed, luckily it's just a 5 minute walk away)
Chill spiced tofu bowl - Satu'li Canteen - Animal Kingdom
Warning: This place gets really busy. Again, the rice and bean bowls are a really yummy lighter option which makes a nice difference from other theme park food. Be careful though, only one of the dressing options is vegan and one of the others has fish in!
In general the my disney experience app is really good for finding the menus of restaurants before you go out for the day which means you're not walking around hangry trying to find food. If you're going without kids the dining plan is definitely worth your money, I think it cost us about £200 each and the meal at satu'li Canteen would've cost $40 alone.

Honourary mention to the pretzels because they're pure joy. |
