2018 has been very up and down for everyone apparently. The first three months especially were epic levels of awful for me and my family. But this post is focusing on the positives, here's my highlight reel of the year.
Moving
I accidentally found a beautiful spacious flat with a garden for the same price as our tiny flat in a block. No brainer. We now live here and I love it.
Riley
Off the back of moving into a place with a garden we knew we could get a dog. And again we hadn't really planned it but frankly I was looking on pre loved and she was cheap. She's changed our lives and made us a family and I'm so so happy.
Mum and Dad got fucking married
My parents have been together for 25 years and never really spoke about marriage and weddings especially as something they'd like to do, until they got engaged in May. They then got married in August (we're a very spur of the moment family in case you didn't see the pattern here) and it was the loveliest day! I can't thank my Mum and Dad enough for what they do for us and I'm so grateful to have been able to be part of their day.
Disneyworld
The most planned in advance thing ever. Me and Josh booked this last April and went to disneyworld in October. I can honestly say I had the best time ever in the most magical place on earth and really enjoyed spending two weeks with my boy.
So if you sift through the shit I had a pretty great year, I'm going to try and dwell on that.
Tomorrow: How we spend Christmas eve

Didn't take any photos of my parents together because I'm a bridesmaid not a photographer. |
